Western Contest ~ Revise & Finalize Stage
Today you will finalize your designs and get them turned in. You need to make sure you follow the directions on the Project page on how to turn in your JPG and PSD files. You will also need to complete the Self-Evaluation on your rubric at the end of class.

Consider the feedback you have gotten and what you need to do to revise and strengthen your design. A big area of feedback from Mr. Wiant is if you took the quick path of removing objects from the background, you may still have a lot of cleanup to do around the objects. Projects are due next class.

We will be doing a critique today so you are prepared to revise and finalize your designs.

Free Design Poster ~ Finalize & Presentation Stage

You will have the first 50mins to revise, finalize and turn in your designs. Then you will be giving a quick presentation of your work. The presentations will be part of your professionalism grade for your project. We will then complete our self-evaluations on our rubrics. 

 

Presentations grades will be based on:

1. Do you speak loudly and clearly to The Design Studio? 

2. Do you make eye contact as you present? 

3. Are you able to clearly explain your design concept, skills or tools you used by using correct academic vocabulary? 

 

Wednesday 9/4

Personal Design ~ Critique Stage

Finalize and turn your designs in by the end of class. We will review the turn in directions together towards the end of class.

 

Peer Feedback

1. We will get into small groups. 

2. Designer shares design concepts and areas of feedback they need (1 min)

3. Collaborators problem solve to help to find solutions to the areas of feedback needed (2 mins)

We will start by going through our syllabus and then you will get into Photoshop to start refreshing your skills. Next class you will work on brainstorming for your first project.
